What are your credentials?

Do you meet in person prior to recommending a community?
While COVID restrictions can currently be a hindrance, it is typically a wise idea to meet in person prior to receiving any recommendation to a community. Understanding the full grasp of a family’s needs requires time to work through issues. It also enables the adviser to gain an understanding of family dynamics, as well as client needs.

Are you locally owned and operated?
A locally owned and operated senior placement agency offers the advantage of advisers who understand the pros and cons of each senior community and have deeper connections with local healthcare providers. As well, they tend to have a true passion for helping the aging population within the community in which they live.

Can I opt out?
Some online agencies bind clients and their families with complicated contracts. Before signing anything, find out if you can choose to work with someone else if you feel that your needs are not being met.
